Hospice West Auckland provides specialist palliative care that improves the quality of end-of-life for patients and their whānau. Our team works with whānau, friends and carers to ensure that together we provide comfort, support and dignity for their loved ones. We aim to give people facing end of life the opportunity to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.
Our services are available for residents in the greater West Auckland area and are provided free of charge to patients and whānau.
Hospice’s specialist palliative care services include both health care and social care in an approach that cares for the holistic needs of our patients, families and carers: the physical, emotional, practical and spiritual needs. Our services also encompass bereavement counselling, ensuring whānau and carers are fully supported in their grief.
We also provide comprehensive resources to inform, educate and support.
