A Team Approach to Palliative Care

Hospice West Auckland’s specialist team of nurses, doctors and social care professionals work alongside GPs/family doctors, nursing services, residential care providers, pharmacies and other community providers to ensure patients and their whānau have access to the highest quality palliative care. Part of our mission is to support health and social care professionals providing generalist palliative care with targeted education, training and resources.

Additional Support And Advice

There are a number of ways you can contact us for additional support and advice. You may know the palliative care nurse looking after your patient and can ask to speak to them using our 24 hour clinical phone line, or for doctors you can contact us via the doctor direct phone line.

24 Hour Clinical Phone Line

Health care professionals can can contact an experienced palliative nurse specialist for advice over the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week on (0800) 834 9755.

Doctor Direct Phone Line

Health care professionals can speak to an experienced palliative doctor for advice during working hours on (09) 834 9757.
