The Impact of Delirium in Palliative Care

Presented by Dr Celia Palmer – Clinical Lead & Palliative Medicine Specialist, Charlotte George – Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Shannon Corbett – Specialist Palliative Care Nurse.

We discuss the identification and management of delirium in palliative care patients, utilising a series of case reviews and reflections.

Presented by Emily McCullough – Clinical Pharmacist, Dr Oleg Kiriaev – Palliative Medicine Physician and Kylie Quigley – Specialist Palliative Care Nurse.

We explore different Deprescribing tools and how we have applied these in a series of case reviews.

Shared Goals of Care

Presented by Dr Oleg Kiriaev – Palliative Medicine Physician & Geriatrician and Amber Davies – AMBER & End of Life Care Facilitator.

We introduce and explore the quality improvement initiative Shared Goals of Care, and how it can improve clinical care in different clinical practice.

Weaving Holistic Care to Enhance Hauora

Presented by Kathrin Marks – Arts Therapist and Esther Bushell – Psychosocial Services Manager & Occupational Therapist.

We seek to understand the essence of social care and its profound influence on our lives, recognising the ripple effects of a serious illness on the patient as well as the entire support network.

Loved that the session was interactive. Very clear, understandable and precise information. And I liked that cases were used so it made it easier to relate to.
